WCAG audit
Automated + manual + screen-reader testing of every template and component. Prioritized, code-level findings — not a scanner export.

WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 AA · ADA Title II & III · Section 508 · Section 1557
ADA Title II deadlines are here for Michigan's public entities, universities, and municipalities; Title III demand letters keep landing on eCommerce and healthcare sites. Reed Dynamic audits against WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and then remediates the actual HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no overlays, no PDF-and-goodbye.
Dates per the DOJ 2024 final rule. Confirm applicability with counsel.
Reed Dynamic provides website accessibility services — WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 AA audits with manual and screen-reader testing, code-level remediation for WordPress, Magento, Shopify, SharePoint, and custom sites, accessible design systems, PDF remediation, and accessibility statements — supporting ADA Title II and Title III compliance for Michigan public entities, universities, healthcare, and eCommerce. Audits from $3,000; remediation $5,000–$40,000.
Automated + manual + screen-reader testing of every template and component. Prioritized, code-level findings — not a scanner export.
We fix the theme, components, and content: semantics, focus order, ARIA, contrast, forms, media, motion. Re-tested and documented.
Municipalities, counties, school districts, universities, and transit: web, apps, and documents to WCAG 2.1 AA with a documented plan for the deadline.
Component libraries where accessibility is built in once — so every new page is conformant without re-auditing.
Tagged, navigable PDFs and accessible alternatives for forms, reports, and policies.
Scheduled scans, regression checks on releases, and training for authors and developers so the site stays conformant.
Most audits end as a spreadsheet handed to a developer who didn't write the site and doesn't have budget to fix it. We audit and remediate, on the platforms we build every week — so the finding "modal traps focus" becomes a fixed modal, tested with a screen reader, in the same engagement. Read our WCAG compliance guide for businesses.
If you are a state or local government entity (including public universities, school districts, and municipalities), the 2024 ADA Title II rule requires WCAG 2.1 AA conformance for web content and apps, with compliance deadlines in April 2026 (populations ≥50,000) and April 2027 (smaller entities). Private businesses open to the public face ADA Title III demand letters and lawsuits — thousands per year — with courts and the DOJ treating WCAG 2.1 AA as the de facto standard. Healthcare providers also face Section 1557 requirements. We're developers, not lawyers; we implement the standard your counsel points to.
A WCAG 2.1 AA audit (automated scan + manual testing + screen-reader testing on representative templates) runs $3,000–$8,000 depending on site size. Remediation typically runs $5,000–$40,000 depending on how many templates and components need work and whether the theme has to be rebuilt. See pricing.
Overlays don't make a site conformant, don't stop lawsuits (many defendants using overlays have been sued), and the disability community broadly opposes them. Real conformance means fixing the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content. That's what we do.
WordPress and WooCommerce, Magento 2, Shopify and BigCommerce, SharePoint, and custom React/Angular/PHP applications. We also build new sites to WCAG 2.1 AA by default — see web development.
Automated scanning (axe, WAVE, Lighthouse) across the site; manual testing of every template and interactive component against WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA success criteria; keyboard-only navigation; screen-reader testing with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver; color contrast; forms and error handling; media; PDFs. You receive a prioritized issue list with code-level fixes — and, if you want, we implement them.
We produce the technical findings and conformance level and draft an accessibility statement; for a formal VPAT / ACR we prepare the documentation for your review or your counsel's sign-off.
